What is period 

Puberty is a common subject that affects both men and women. This is called the law of nature. During puberty, girls experience an abnormal rate of uterine bleeding known as periods. Period pain

It is normal to have pain during periods. It happens to almost everyone. But extra pain is certainly a cause for concern. Women usually experience two types of pain during periods. Which are called in medical language.

  •  Primary Dysmenorrhea
  • Secondary Dysmenorrhea

Primary Dysmenorrhea ঃ A little pain is felt at the beginning of the period. It usually starts 1 to 2 hours before the period starts and goes away during the period. Such pain can spread to lower abdomen, back or thighs. Or nausea and vomiting etc.

Secondary Dysmenorrhea ঃ Excessive pain that makes daily life difficult. work, play, sports, go to school college etc.
One of the causes of Secondary Dysmenorrhea is a tumor or infection of the uterus or having problems with the files.  But extra pain doesn't mean you have an underlying problem. It is very important to consult a doctor to find out what is causing your excessive pain.

What to eat for period pain
Nutritionist Dr. Ayesha Siddiqa said, "Mothers should take care of the girl child during the period between 10 to 20 years.  Because they start period at this time. Due to which they become physically weak.  Generally, at this time girls should drink more fresh water. At the same time, foods containing iron and vitamin B12 should be eaten in large quantities. 

Also try to eat beef or goat liver one or two days a month in the diet. Eating bananas, seasonal fruits like oranges and lemons are also very beneficial. Along with that vegetables or salad can be eaten. However, it is absolutely inappropriate to eat fried food in oil at this time.

 
Ways to get rid of period pain

Hot heat
Hot heat works very well to reduce menstrual pain. it's increases blood circulation in the lower abdomen, relaxes the muscles and reduces pain. You can soak a towel in hot water and use it. Or you can heat with the help of a hot water bag. 

Take a bath
You can take a bath with warm water to reduce menstrual pain, it also works well.  When the pain starts, take a bath with lukewarm water. The body will relax and the pain will decrease.

To massage
You can gently massage the painful part of the stomach with your hands. It also helps reduce pain.

Ginger
People who have regular menstrual psin can eat ginger before the pain starts. Ginger can be crushed with tea or hot water or chewed. You can start eating ginger 2/3 days before the onset of menstrual pain. It will reduce the pain.

Do light exercise
Light exercise can reduce pain, such as: walking, cycling, yoga or swimming. Apart from menstrual pain, daily light exercise can keep you physically healthy.

Meditation
When we have pain in any part of our body, we unconsciously take shallow breaths.  Because of which the pain may increase.  So a good way to reduce menstrual pain is to exercise breathing.
